Lara Mather is a Portuguese-British filmmaker and producer, and one half of the founding duo of A Meias, a creative hub she runs in partnership with Afonso "Sekkas" Nunes. With a practice defined by the intersection of disciplines and a multicultural perspective, Lara operates fluidly between the creative and strategic dimensions, articulating direction, production, curation, and casting. Her commercial portfolio includes collaborations with global brands such as Nike, Google, Adidas, Porsche, and Heineken.
With a visceral connection to documentary filmmaking and themes of identity and territory, she stands out as the producer of the short film *Golden Shower* (awarded at HaHaArt and selected for IndieLisboa and Caminhos Cinema Português) and director of *Aires*. She is also the founder and co-curator of the África-Oeiras Film Festival and holds a degree in Cinema from the Lusófona University.
