Privacy Policy

This page explains what personal data is collected through this website, what happens to it, and the rights you have over it under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Who is responsible

A Meias is a creative hub - a name that a group of independent authors, directors, technicians, and other creatives work under. It is not a company and not a legal entity. The person responsible for this website and for the personal data processed through it (the "data controller") is:

2. What is collected

From the contact form on the Let's Work Together page:

• Your name
• Your email address
• The type of project you're asking about
• Optionally, a budget range and a timeline
• The message you write

Automatically, anonymous and aggregated traffic measurements through Vercel Analytics - page views and referrers, with no cookies and nothing that identifies you individually. The hosting provider also keeps short-lived technical logs, which is ordinary for any website.

There are no tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or third-party analytics that identify individuals.

3. Why, and on what basis

Contact form submissions are used only to read and reply to your enquiry, and to pass it to the person or people it concerns. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR - taking steps at your request before entering into a possible working relationship.

Traffic measurement rests on Article 6(1)(f) - a legitimate interest in knowing roughly how the site is used, weighed against the fact that the data is anonymous and aggregated.

Your data is never sold, shared for marketing, or used to send unsolicited email.

4. Who else processes it

The site relies on a small number of service providers, who process data only on instruction:

• Vercel - hosting and anonymous traffic analytics
• Resend - delivery of contact form submissions to the inbox
• Sanity- the content management system holding the site's text and images
• Google - the mailbox that receives and stores enquiries

Vercel, Resend, and Google are based in the United States. Transfers are covered by their certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, and in Resend's case additionally by Standard Contractual Clauses.

The contact page also links out to Instagram, WhatsApp, and a scheduling tool. If you choose to use one of those, you are dealing with that service directly under its own privacy policy.

5. How long it is kept

Contact form submissions are not written to any database - they arrive as email and stay in the mailbox, and a delivery record remains in Resend's logs for a limited period. Enquiries are kept for up to 24 months after the last contact about them, then deleted. You can ask for yours to be deleted sooner at any time.

6. People featured on this site

The Figures of Speech and Anthology sections publish information about real people - names, photographs, roles, biographies, and links to their own public profiles - with their agreement. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: a legitimate interest in presenting the people who work under A Meias and the work they have made.

Being featured here does not mean anyone is employed by, or contracted through, A Meias. Everyone listed works independently and on their own account.

If you are featured and want your entry changed or removed, write to ameias.geral@gmail.com and it will be done - no reason required.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data held about you
• Have inaccurate data corrected
• Have your data deleted
• Object to it being processed, or ask that it be restricted
• Receive a copy of it in a portable format

8. Cookies

Only essential storage is used - for example, remembering the dark/light theme you pick. Nothing tracks you across sites, and the analytics are cookieless, so no consent banner is needed.
